Aerostich

Aerostich was formed in 1983 to develop a completely new type of textile-based gear for motorcyclists. A lightweight garment offering convenience, comfort and high levels of protection in bad weather and crashes - combined in a coverall made for everyday motorcycle use.

What to expect:

Tours of the facility will start at the top of each hour. The store on the first-floor store will be open all day and refreshments will be available.

Clyde Iron Works

2920 W Michigan St

Clyde Iron Works, once a heavy industrial manufacturing plant, now serves as a premier restaurant, bar, brewery, and event center. A three-year restoration project - a passion project of Alex Giuliani - transformed the 36,000-square-foot factory into a gathering place for friends and family, while preserving a cornerstone of Duluth's golden industrial age.

What to expect:

Take a self-guided tour of Clyde Iron Works. Signage will provide the history of the space, and graphics throughout the building are advertisements displaying the various industrial products that Clyde Iron Works manufactured.

Duluth Art Institute Lincoln Park Building

2229 W 2nd St • Open after 1:00 pm

The building seamlessly combines architectural heritage with a modern community-focused purpose. From its origins as a Carnegie library serving working-class neighborhoods to its rebirth as a multipurpose arts center, it’s a compelling example of adaptive reuse.

What to expect:

The DAI will have tours at 1:15, 2:15, 3:15, and 4:15.

The tour will be of the ceramic studio, great room classroom space and a peek into what a live figure drawing session set up looks like. Public Artist and professor, Paul LeJeunesse is working on a mural for Lake Superior College and we will get a first look at that. Coffee and cookies will be available. Please note, due to clay dust, we don’t allow food or beverages in the clay studio section of the building.

Duluth Cider

2307 W Superior St • Open after 12:00 pm

This 100-year-old Duluth building began as post office stables in 1919 and later housed a car showroom, radiator shop, and more. Restored in 2017–2018 by dedicated locals, its original brick and ceilings were preserved, creating the perfect space to enjoy Duluth’s first craft cider.

What to expect:

Handheld guides will be provided for guests highlighting the taproom’s restoration and history.

Two formal tours of Duluth Cider will take place at 1:00 pm and 1:30 pm.

Duluth Folk School / Dovetail Cafe

1917 W Superior St

Duluth Folk School / Dovetail Cafe is a place that builds great things for the community. A hub at the center of Duluth, we hold hundreds of events and classes a year—and welcome many thousands of people through our doors each month for joyful experiences of handcrafting, art, and gathering.

What to expect:

A self-guided tour highlighting “cool spots,” a photo display of the building’s renovation and a display of crafts made in folk school classes.

Partially accessible, there is no elevator for the second floor. Restrooms available

Duluth MakerSpace

3001 W Superior St

Duluth MakerSpace is a nonprofit community shop with a full woodshop, full metal shop, tech shop with industrial lasers and 3D printers, craft room with industrial sewing machines, a pottery studio and a lapidary (rock) studio. We provide tools and a place to work for an affordable monthly fee.

What to expect:

Tours of the makerspace will take place throughout the day. Demonstrations will be ongoing at the following times:

Pottery Studio - 9am - 3pm
Craft Room - 11am - 1pm
Metal Shop - 10am - 5pm

Duluth Pottery Gallery and Warrior Printress Letterpress

1924 W Superior St • Open after 11:00 am

Duluth Pottery & Gallery is a working ceramics studio and gallery located in the heart of the Lincoln Park Craft District. The space is home to five resident artists who create their work on-site. In addition to showcasing their own pieces, the gallery features pottery and artwork by a wide range of Minnesota potters and artists. The studio also produces wholesale and custom pieces for clients. We aim to have a welcoming, art-filled space to shop, and space for special events.

What to expect:

The letterpress shop will be open and available for short tours, see a wood type lockup on the press.

Luke the potter will be available throughout the day for conversation as he works.

Duluth Press Building Residential Suites

1915 W Superior St

Duluth Press Building is a fully renovated building that now offers eight luxury vacation rental apartments designed for both short weekend trips and long business stays for professionals and everyone in between.

What to expect:

Learn about the history of the building, and see historic newspapers discovered during its renovation. Talk with about its recent renovation and tour one of the renovated suites.

Check out Jonathan Thunder’s art studio located in the front of the Duluth Press building, and talk to the artist about his work.

Kraus-Anderson Construction/

Historic Duluth National Bank

2000 W Superior St, Suite 101 • Open 10am - 2pm

Built in 1922, the lovingly restored Duluth National Bank now houses Kraus-Anderson Construction, and combines stately original elements with modern office comforts. The former bank vault has been repurposed as a 200-square-foot conference room. The original main entry marble floor and columns with detailed caps and elaborate beams remain intact.

What to expect:

Kraus Anderson staff will be on site to provide tours of the building.

Trinity Masonic Lodge

2118 West 1st St

Trinity Lodge is one of a few Lodges in Duluth, Minnesota. We are located in the heart of Duluth's West End commonly referred to as the Lincoln Park Craft District. Founded in 1915, Trinity Lodge has been serving the community for 100+ years.

What to expect:

Self guided exploration of the Masonic hall with members of the lodge acting as docents.

3:00 p.m. The lodge’s pipe and drum group will give a performance.
