Marvel at the soaring 22-story atrium and historic fountains. Explore the County Board Room and courtrooms, enjoy the view from the Law Library, and learn about the building’s history, including its architect. Security screening is required for tower access.

What to Expect

Guests are welcome to check out the Hennepin County Government Center atrium (skyway level) where they can read facts about the building. They can also take part in guided tours through the building. Families are also invited to color on or take home themed coloring pages.

Tours will take place around every 20 minutes and are approximately 30 minutes in length, with opportunities for breaks in walking along the way.


Be Prepared

Photography is permitted on the tour. Tour participants will be required to pass through a security check point.

Parking Paid parking is available near the Government Center, but the ramp located directly below will not be open. The Government Center is also located close to the Metro Transit light rail.
