House Of Balls is about to enter its 40th year of operation. For the first 28, it was in what is now known as the North Loop in downtown Minneapolis. For the last 11 years, it has resided on the West Bank, in a structure that was originally built as a service station.
It is one of very few artist spaces that are open to the public on a regular basis. A working sculptor’s studio, a community venue space, and provocative rental opportunity, it asks one question of its entrants, “What do you do for a life?“
What to Expect
People will cross the threshold and step into a space unlike anything they’ve seen before. Reevaluating the valueless in our lives is what will be in front of them. “What do you do for a life?“ will be asked of them. Our collective creativity is needed now more than ever.
Be Prepared
Be prepared to have a good time.
The first rule at the House Of Balls is feel free to touch. The second rule is photography is permitted.
Parking Parking is available on site. It is also at the Cedar Riverside blue line LRT stop.
