The Minneapolis Rowing Club (MRC) is a community organization dedicated to inspiring a lifelong passion for the sport of rowing. We offer learn to row programs, competitive teams, private lessons, and recreational rowing for adults and youth over the age of 11.
What to Expect
10:00am-5:00pm: Visitors can join 15 minute volunteer-led guided tours of our boathouse offered every 10-15 minutes, depending on crowds. See the beautiful Mississippi gorge from water level, tour MRC's unique and award-winning boathouse, and enjoy a guided tour to learn about the sport of rowing. See and handle the boats and other equipment up close.
Bring a camera; it's all very photogenic!
Be Prepared
Getting to and from the MRC boathouse requires a roughly 0.2 mile scenic walk, starting from under the Lake Street Bridge, on an up-to 7-degree partially gravel surface, plus distance from parking, plus the tour. At the boathouse, there is some uneven pavement, and tours will require climbing a flight of steps inside the boathouse (which visitors can omit, if they wish).
Parking Limited parking is available where West River Parkway passes under Lake Street and in surrounding neighborhoods. Park near the Lake Street Mississippi Bridge, look for the MRC "feather" sign, and enjoy a pretty walk (0.2 mile) down the hill to MRC's boathouse.
