The Open Arms of Minnesota Minneapolis Kitchen and Campus is home to the only organization in the Upper Midwest dedicated to preparing and delivering medically tailored meals at no cost to critically ill Minnesotans and their families.
What to Expect
Open Arms of Minnesota will welcome the public to its Minneapolis Kitchen and Campus as part of the 2026 Doors Open Minneapolis event, taking place on Saturday, May 9, and Sunday, May 10, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Attendees will be treated to a behind-the-scenes look at the Upper Midwest’s sole provider of medically tailored meals.
Located in the Phillips neighborhood of South Minneapolis, Open Arms’ facility—with its state-of-the-art kitchen and bakery—enables the organization to serve more than 3,500 clients and produce over 1.5 million meals each year. Enjoy coffee and treats, take a tour of the facility, and let the kids participate in a fun, hands-on project.
If you come for a tour on Saturday between 10 a.m. - 1 p.m., you will be asked to wear gloves and hair net while in the kitchen for food safety reasons.
Be Prepared
Parking Open Arms has its own parking lot off Bloomington Ave, on the south side of the facility. The entrance to the facility is located off the parking lot.
