HOW DOORS OPEN VENUES ARE CHOSEN
Applications are reviewed by Rethos’ Doors Open Minneapolis team. To be considered for participation, submit an online application by no later than 5:00 pm on January 30, 2026. The list of participating buildings will be finalized soon afterwards. We have limited space in the program, so not every application will be selected. If your building is chosen to participate, the primary contact will receive an approval email or phone call. Great Doors Open venues:
• Have a space to share that is not usually seen, visited, or appreciated by the public.
• Are places with an important story to tell: about architecture, design, adaptive reuse, history, society, culture, or the city of Minneapolis.
• Have capacity to plan and lead creative and engaging programming for visitors during the event.
• Are located within the city limits of Minneapolis.
